Our Guiding Past
For over 60 years, we’ve been the trusted team behind the lights staying on, ships moving across oceans, and critical facilities like hospitals operating, even during emergencies.
1958
MSHS Pacific Power Group starts its journey in Portland, OR, as Pacific Diesel Power Company, providing diesel engines for marine and industrial use.
1982
Renamed as Pacific Detroit Diesel-Allison (PDDA), becoming the Detroit Diesel and Allison distributor in the Northwest.
1983
Motor Services Hugo Stamp (MSHS) is founded in Fort Lauderdale, FL, to service large marine engines.
1998
MSHS forms Governor Control Systems (GCS) by acquiring Power Control Systems and partnering with Woodward.
2005
PDDA becomes Pacific Power Products to reflect broader offerings.
2014
Pacific Power Products becomes Pacific Power Group (PPG) to reflect a wider customer base.
2020
MSHS Group acquires Turbo USA and expands turbocharger services; PPG’s territory extends into California and the Gulf, launching PPG Gulf Coast.
2022
MSHS, GCS, and PPG integrate as MSHS PPG to combine capabilities and expertise to create a leading service partner for power and propulsion systems, serving Power Generation, Industrial, Marine, and National Security segments across the US and beyond
